Description

IKKg is a regulatory subunit part of the IKK-signalosome complex activation. It is also considered to be a mediator for TAX activation of NF-kappa-B. Additionally, this protein could be implicated in NF-kappa-B-mediated protection from cytokine toxicity. Mutations in IKKg are the cause of anhidrotic ectodermal dysplasia with immunodeficiency (EDA-ID) and of familial incontinentia pigmenti type II (IP2)

The anti-Phospho-IKKg-S31 Pab is used in Western blot to detect Phospho-IKKg-S31 in mouse cerebellum tissue lysate	Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.

Specificity

This Phospho-IKKg-S31 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S31 of human IKKg.

Storage Condition and Buffer

Maintain refrigerated at 2-8°C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20°C. Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein G affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylated peptides. The phospho-specific antibody is eluted with high and low pH buffers and neutralized immediately, followed by dialysis against PBS.
