Description

High density lipoprotein-binding protein (HDLBP), also known as vigilin, specifically binds HDL molecules. It plays a role in cell sterol metabolism and may function in the removal of excess cellular cholesterol (1, 2). HDLBP contains KH domains that function in RNA binding. It has also been reported to bind tRNA, facilitate its export from the nucleus, and control translation efficiency (3).

Specificity

A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human HDLBP was used as an immunogen.

Storage Condition and Buffer
