Description

ACAT2 (Acetyl-CoA acetyltransferase, cytosolic) is a mitochondrial matrix protein, which belongs to the thiolase family (1,2). In cultured hepatocytes the turnover of ACAT2 is appeared to be initiated by CoA-mediated, sequential transformation into CoA-modified forms (1).
