Description

HDGF is a heparin-binding growth factor that promotes proliferation, differentiation, and migration of several cell types, such as vascular smooth muscle cells (1). It is a mitogen for many cell types with nuclear localization necessary for its mitogenic activity. HDGF has also been identified as a prognostic marker in pathologic cell growth, especially in lung, esophageal, pancreatic and hepatic cancer (2). Moreover, HDGF functions as a transcriptional repressor (3).

Specificity

A synthetic peptide corresponding to residues in human HDGF was used as an immunogen.

Storage Condition and Buffer

Store at -20° C. Antibody buffer, sodium azide, glycerol, and BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
