Epitomics receives ISO 9001 certification for the production of Rabbit Monoclonal Antibodies

Burlingame, California, May 6th, 2008. Epitomics, Inc. announced today that its Hangzhou subsidiary has received ISO 9001-2000 certification for the development and production of its novel line of rabbit monoclonal antibodies. “This certification demonstrates our commitment to establishing a standard for quality management and ultimately the finest quality antibodies available to meet our customers’ needs.” said Dr. Guo-Liang Yu, President and CEO of Epitomics, Inc.

“ISO certification is a very important milestone for the company and an independent validation of our quality system to ensure high quality products for our customers” said Dr. Y. Peter Li, Senior VP of Product Development for Epitomics. The ISO standard provides common worldwide criteria for effective quality management and covers twenty areas including design, document control, inspection, testing, servicing and training. ISO 9001 certification is received upon successful completion of an accredited third party audit and provides independent validation that Epitomics quality management system meets the high standard of quality set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Epitomics Hangzhou facility is involved with the design and manufacture of Epitomics’ proprietary RabMAbs™ (Rabbit Monoclonal Antibodies) for research, diagnostic and therapeutic applications. With ISO certification, Epitomics will continue updating and refining its’ quality management processes and procedures to provide customers with the best quality antibodies available.
